Goosenecks State Park

At Goosenecks State Park you can gaze at the results of 300 million years of time, where the San Juan River winds and carves its way through the desert 1,000 feet below, creating a series of tight turns, or goosenecks. Over a distance of 1.5 miles, the San Juan River flows for more than six miles through the twists of the meandering goosenecks.
