Capitol Reef National Park

Capitol Reef National Park

Located in the heart of red rock country in south-central Utah, Capitol Reef National Park is a hidden and less-visited treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes and bridges. One can get a real feel for what the earth might have been like millions of years ago when nothing existed but earth and sky. The park is a place that includes the finest elements of Bryce and Zion Canyons in a much less crowded area.

Features of the park include the Hickman Bridge, Capitol Gorge, and Grand Wash trails, Cassidy Arch, Goosenecks Overlook, Fremont Petroglyphs, Cathedral Valley (home to Temple of the Sun and Temple of the Moon formations), Chimney Rock, and the entire Waterpocket Fold within which Capitol Reef National Park is formed.
